Mathias Strömberg (b. 1972, Stockholm) works across visual arts, music, film and writing to explore a vast array of topics and interests. Recently, he has been examining the policies, machines and quiet myths that shaped and broke the Swedish welfare state, resulting in both paintings, essays and film projects.
Strömberg studied art at Goldsmiths' College (London) 1992-1993 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Central Saint Martin's (London) in 1996. Since then he is balancing work as an independent artist, music creator, essayist, lecturer, film maker and creative gun-for-hire.
